Pokémon Go Fest Day 1 Special Research guide: Tasks and rewards list

Day one of the 2020 Pokémon Go Fest includes a Special Research Task set that rewards tons of Great Balls and Incense.

Only players who buy the Pokémon Go Fest Ticket for $14.99 will be able to participate in the Special Research. Upon logging on during the event period and starting the research, players will have an unlimited amount of time to finish it. It won’t expire when Go Fest ends, so no need to panic if you don’t finish by the end of the day.

The biomes will change between Battle, Friendship, Fire, Water, and Grass, at the top of every hour.

Day 1 Go Fest 2020 Special Research

• Take a snapshot with your buddy (10 Incense)
• Use an Incense (200 Great Balls)
• Catch 20 fire-type Pokémon (Charizard encounter)
• Catch 20 water-type Pokémon (Blastoise encounter)
• Catch 20 grass-type Pokémon (Venusaur encounter)
• Battle in 2 raids (Gible encounter)
• Make a new friend (Snorlax encounter)

Rewards: 10,000 XP, 2 Lucky Eggs, 10,000 Stardust
