Pokémon Go is hosting an event that celebrates the Hoenn region and the Pokémon originating in that region from Jan. 19 until Jan. 25.
Spawns for Pokémon like Treecko, Mudkip, Torchic, Taillow, Roselia, and more will be increased throughout the event. Pokémon like Beldum, Bagon, Anorith, and Lileep will also be hatching out of five kilometer eggs that are obtained during the event period.
Kyogre and Groudon will also both be returning to raids as the featured five star Pokémon until the next event begins. Both these Pokémon are great for PvE, so we recommend grabbing one or two if you don’t have some already.
Just like the previous celebration events, this one has several different types of challenges and tasks for players to complete, including Field Research from Poké Stops, as well as Timed Research featuring the Legendary Pokémon.
