Pokémon Go Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl event guide

Pokémon Go is hosting a special event to celebrate the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The event is broken up into two parts, with each game getting a two-day feature with different spawns. Our Pokémon Go Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl event guide will teach you the boosted spawns and how to make the most of this event.

The Brilliant Diamond half of the event lasts from Nov. 16-18, 2021, and will be immediately followed by the Shining Pearl half of the event, which lasts from Nov. 18-21, 2021.

Notably, the event features decreased egg hatch distance. Eggs put into Incubators during the event period will hatch in 50% of the distance and eggs put into Super Incubators will hatch in 33% the usual distance.

Mime Jr., which is usually a Pokémon region locked to France, is also available in 7KM eggs worldwide, so if you’re missing this Pokémon, it may be a good idea to hoard 7KM eggs and try to hatch as many as you can.

The Sinnoh region starter Pokémon are also available with hats that replicate the trainer hats from the game. You can find Chimchar, Piplup, and Turtwig with Lucas hats in the wild and with Dawn hats from Field Research.
