Pokémon Go is celebrating the lovable and goofy Bidoof through a Bidoof Breakout event that runs from June 25 until July 1. In our Pokémon Go guide, we’ll explain the event perks and list out the Field Research Tasks.

The only Pokémon seeing a spawn increase during this event is — you guessed it — Bidoof. However, the Bidoof you catch may have a special move, like Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, or Ice Beam. All of these moves will be obtainable using a Charged TM as well. Evolving your Bidoof into a Bibarel during the event will also give it the move Hyper Beam.

Shadow Ball will be Charged TM-able from June 25-26, Thunderbolt will be available from June 27-28, and Ice Beam will be around from June 29-30. You can use an Elite Charged TM to get any of these at the end of the event.

You’ll also get bonus Catch XP depending on the day. On June 25-26, Catch XP will be doubled. On June 27-28, it will be tripled, and on June 29-30, it will be quadrupled.

Both Bidoof and Bibarel are also available Shiny for the first time.

There’s also a set of Field Research Tasks you can get during the event that feature the lovable beaver Pokémon.
