Tepig is getting its very own Pokémon Go Community Day on July 3, running from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in your local time.
The fire-type starter pig Pokémon from the Unova region will be spawning in high numbers, with a high chance of appearing Shiny.

How do I find a Shiny Tepig?
Community Day events have a heightened Shiny rate for the featured Pokémon, so if you’re playing, you should be able to find several Shiny Tepig. If you don’t have time to play all day, you can find a Shiny Tepig by popping an Incense, and tapping each Tepig that pops up. The Shiny rate on Community Days is approximately 1 in 25, according to The Silph Road’s research, so you should find a Shiny Tepig quickly.

What Community Day move does Emboar learn?
Emboar learns Blast Burn when you evolve a Pignite on July 3 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. in your local time. (Yes, you have an extra two hours after the Tepig stop spawning to evolve it!)
If you miss the Community Day period, you’ll likely be able to evolve your Tepig during the December Community Weekend event to get Blast Burn, based on past years. You can also use an Elite TM to teach legacy Community Day-only moves.
What’s Emboar’s best moveset?
Emboar does better in PvE content like raids and gyms as a fighting-type attacker. Give it Low Kick and Focus Blast to make it punch away your problems. It’s fine as fire-type attacker, but it’s pretty far from the best. If you want to use it with its Community Day move, give it Ember and Blast Burn.
How do I make the most of Tepig Community Day?
Tepig Community Day will also have tripled catch Stardust, so you can use any Star Pieces you have to increase the Stardust you gain even further. Incense used during the event will also last a whopping three hours, so you should use one (if you have one) to increase your Tepig spawns further.
