Pokémon Go ‘Festival of Lights’ event, Timed Research guide

Pokémon Go’s Halloween event for 2022, “Festival of Lights,” has started and runs from Oct. 14-17. The glowing mushroom Pokémon Morelull has been added to the game as part of the event, and lots of warm light-bringing Pokémon will spawn more frequently.

During the event, XP and candy obtained from catching Pokémon is doubled and Chinchou has an increased Shiny rate.

• Catch 25 Pokémon (25 Poké Balls)
• Hatch 2 eggs (Morelull encounter)
• Make 15 nice throws (20 Great Balls)
• Make 10 great throws (10 Ultra Balls)
• Make 5 curveball throws (10 Pinap Berries)
• Use 10 berries to help catch Pokémon (Dedenne encounter)

Rewards: 2,500 XP, Galarian Ponyta encounter

• Walk 5 km (3 Golden Razz Berries)
• Evolve 3 Pokémon (Chinchou encounter)
• Make 10 great throws (20 Great Balls)
• Spin 25 PokéStops or gyms (3 Silver Pinap Berries)
• Take snapshots of 10 different wild Pokémon (Litwick encounter)

Rewards: 2,500 XP, Sparkler trainer pose cosmetic
