Pokémon Go Lunar New Year 2022 event guide

Lunar New Year is here in Pokémon Go, and with it comes a special event that celebrates red Pokémon. The event runs from Feb. 1-7, 2022 and includes increased spawns, special bonuses, and all sorts of event goodies. In addition to the usual bonuses, players get doubled Stardust from gifts, two special trades a day, and an increased chance to become Lucky Friends and get Lucky Pokémon.

Friendship Challenge Pokémon Go Lunar New Year 2022 Timed Research and rewards

• Send 5 gifts and add a sticker to each (Torchic encounter)
• Trade 3 Pokémon with a friend (Corphish encounter)
• Send 15 gifts to friends (Darumaka encounter)
• Send gifts 3 days in a row (unknown encounter)

Reward: Unknown encounter, 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 XP

Catch Challenge Pokémon Go Lunar New Year 2022 Timed Research and rewards

• Catch 10 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Catch 25 Pokémon (15 Great Balls)

• Catch 10 different species of Pokémon (Litleo encounter)

Reward: Espurr encounter, 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 XP
