Explore the jungles of Akala Island with grass Pokémon

Pokémon Go is hosting its third Alola-themed event, focusing on the jungles of Akala Island. With the event comes the debut of Fomantis and Tapu Lele, alongside tons of grass-type Pokémon. The event runs from March 22-29, 2022.


Lush Jungle event Timed Research

Timed Research step 1 of 4

  • Walk 1 KM (10 Poké Balls)
  • Catch 10 Pokémon (5 Razz Berries)
  • Use 5 berries to help catch Pokémon (5 Pinap Berries)

Rewards: Cherrim encounter, 5 Nanab Berries, 500 XP

Timed Research step 2 of 4

  • Walk 1 KM (10 Poké Balls)
  • Catch 5 grass-type Pokémon (Chikorita encounter)
  • Use 10 berries to help catch Pokémon (Bellsprout encounter)

Reward: Gloom encounter, 5 Razz Berries, 1,000 XP

Timed Research step 3 of 4

  • Walk 1 KM (10 Poké Balls)
  • Catch 10 grass-type Pokémon (Foongus encounter)
  • Use 15 berries to help catch Pokémon (Shroomish encounter)

Reward: Paras encounter, 5 Pinap Berries, 1,000 XP

Timed Research step 4 of 4

  • Walk 1 KM (10 Poké Balls)
  • Give your buddy 3 treats (Sunkern encounter)
  • Catch 7 different species of grass-type Pokémon (Chespin encounter)

Reward: Fomantis encounter, 1 Mossy Lure Module, 2,000 XP
