The huge Regigigas is stomping around in Pokémon Go’s tier five raids. The huge normal-type Pokémon only has one weakness: fighting-type moves.
In this Pokémon Go guide, we’ll teach you about Regigigas counters, raids, Shiny Regigigas, movesets, weaknesses, and more.
Regigigas counters and weakness
We recommend any of the following Regigigas counters:
- Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch
- Hariyama with Counter and Dynamic Punch
- Breloom with Counter and Dynamic Punch
Yes, that is a lot of Counter and Dynamic Punch. As usual, you don’t have to use our listed counters, but your team against Regigigas should use fighting-type moves to take advantage of Regigigas’ weakness.
You can use weather boosts to help make your moves stronger. Cloudy weather will boost fighting-type moves.
Best moveset for Regigigas
For raiding and gyms, give it Hidden Power and Giga Impact, but as with other normal-type Pokémon, it’s not particularly useful in any PvE content. Normal-type moves are not strong against anything, so it’s not going to see much usage there.
Regigigas also isn’t eligible for Great League, and it can see use in Master League PvP. Set it up with Hidden Power paired with Thunder and Focus Blast to get a pretty tanky Pokémon with a diverse moveset.

Is Regigigas available Shiny?
Lucky players may encounter a Shiny Regigigas. If you do see a Shiny, it will catch on the first ball you hit it with, so use a Pinap Berry to score some extra candy.
