Kyogre is a popular and desired raid target in Pokémon Go. The Legendary Pokémon is the game’s best water-type attacker and is sought after for most intense raiding teams. Luckily, it has a handful of weaknesses. Our Pokémon Go Kygore raid guide explains Kyogre’s best movesetes, counters, and weaknesses.
Kyogre best counters and weaknesses
When fighting Kyogre, use grass- and electric-type Pokémon. Kyogre’s best counters and weaknesses are as follows:
- Raikou with Thunder Shock and Wild Charge
- Zekrom with Charge Beam and Wild Charge
- Electivire with Thunder Shock and Wild Charge
- Magnezone with Spark and Wild Charge
- Roserade with Razor Leaf and Solar Beam
Sunny weather boosts grass-type moves and rainy weather boosts electric-type moves.
Kyogre best movesets
Once you get your Kyogre, the best moveset for it is Waterfall and Surf. Kyogre is one of the best dust investments to power up. It hits hard and takes down ground-, fire-, and rock-types.
Is Kyogre available Shiny?
Lucky players may encounter a Shiny Kyogre. If you do see a Shiny, you’ll catch it on the first ball you hit it with, so use a Pinap Berry to score some extra candy.
