To celebrate Halloween, Pokémon Go will have a ton of spooky events, including the introduction of Darkrai to tier five raids, boosted candy, and the release of Yamask.

From Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. ET until Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. ET, Darkrai will appear in tier five raids. There will also be a chance to get the Forbidden Pokémon, Spiritomb, via a short set of Special Research tasks. If it’s anything like last year’s task, the quest will focus on just using a lot of berries and catching a ton of Pokémon.

Also exclusive to this event period are adorable iconic Pokémon dressed up as ... other Pokémon? Players will be able to catch Bulbasaur dressed as Shedinja, Charmander dressed as Cubone, Squirtle dressed as Yamask, and Pikachu dressed as Mimikyu. These variations are also available Shiny.

Transferring, catching, and hatching Pokémon will also reward doubled candy, because it’s Halloween, natch. More ghost and dark-type Pokémon will be spawning in the wild, so now is your chance to score a Gengar or maybe even a Litwick, if your Pokédex still needs those entries.

Shadow versions of Lapras, Magmas, Mareep, Trapinch, and more are also being added to the game, as well as Shiny Yamask. The style shop will also be updated with some spooky-themed accessories, like a Zubat bag and a Litwick hat. These additions will be permanently implemented to the game.
