Niantic has gone ahead and confirmed that every Wednesday in October will have a Legendary Raid Hour for Pokémon Go.

This means that most gyms will host tier five raids that hatch at the start of the raid hour in your area. The raid hour will last from 6 to 7 p.m., in your local time.

Altered Forme Giratina will be featured during the Legendary Raid Hours on Oct. 2, 9, and 16, and another unannounced Pokémon will be featured in the raid hour on Oct. 23 and 30.

Mewtwo will also be getting its own special Legendary Raid Hour on Oct. 8, to make up for its cancelled raid hour from September.

During the raid hour, there may be some gyms that have raids that start late or still have raids continuing that started prior to the Legendary Raid hour, so don’t be surprised if not every gym around you is hosting a Legendary ‘mon. The best way to tackle a large number of raids before the raid hour ends is by going to your local community Discord or Facebook page and seeing what routes they have mapped out. From there, you can travel with a fair-sized group that should be able to help you farm that Shiny Legendary you’ve been looking for.
