New monthly Pokémon Go challenges will reward Rare Candy, egg bonuses, and more

The three Pokémon Go team leaders are hosting special challenges during weekends for the next three months for trainers to complete during Pokémon Go Fest.

During the weekend of the three Pokémon Go Fests, trainers will be put to the test to complete as many Field Research Tasks as possible.

Spark’s challenge takes place from June 13 at 12 p.m. to June 16 at 8 p.m. ET during the Go Fest in Chicago. If all those milestones are met, Raikou will return to raids, with a Shiny variant being obtainable for the first time. The rewards are the following:

• Go Fest attendees: Complete 1 million research tasks for doubled catch candy
• Team Instinct: Complete 15 million research tasks globally for one guaranteed Rare Candy drop per raid
• Team Valor: Complete 15 million research tasks globally for halved egg hatch distance
• Team Mystic: Complete 15 million research tasks globally for doubled hatch candy

All of Spark’s rewards will be available from June 18 at 4 p.m. until June 25 at 4 p.m. ET.

Candela’s challenge will be from July 4 at 4 a.m. to July 7 at 12 p.m. ET. during the Go Fest in Dortmund. For completing all the challenges, Suicune will return to raids, with a chance to be Shiny. Candela’s challenges include:

• Go Fest attendees: Complete 1 million research tasks for tripled catch XP
• Team Instinct: Complete 15 million research tasks globally for 1-hour Lucky Eggs
• Team Valor: Complete 15 million research tasks globally for tripled hatch XP
• Team Mystic: Complete 15 million research tasks globally for doubled raid XP

Any of Candela’s rewards unlocked will be active from July 9 at 4 p.m. until July 16 at 4 p.m. ET.

Blanche’s challenge will start on Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. and go until Aug. 12 at 4 a.m. ET, coinciding with the Go Fest in Tokyo. As a reward, Entei will return to raids if all the challenges are completed, with a chance to appear Shiny. Blanche offers the following:

• Go Fest attendees: Complete 2 million research tasks for tripled catch Stardust
• Team Instinct—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for guaranteed 3,000 Stardust per raid
• Team Valor—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for tripled hatch Stardust
• Team Mystic—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for 1-hour Star Pieces

Completed Blanche objective rewards will last from Aug. 13 at 4 p.m. until Aug. 20 at 4 p.m. ET.
