The next Pokémon Go Community Day will be held on May 24 and will feature the acorn Pokémon, Seedot.

From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in your local time, Seedot will spawn in abundance. Its Shiny form will also debut during this event and will pop up more often than it normally would.

Evolving your Seedot into a Shiftry during the event period will also grant Shiftry the move Bullet Seed.

Bullet Seed beats out Razor Leaf for Shiftry’s PvP moveset, but still loses out to Snarl. That being said, it’s worth picking up a Shiftry, especially if you want to dabble in PvP. Picking up several of them means that you could have one that’s eligible for Great League and Ultra League, where it’s a pretty strong contender.

During the event period, all experience points gained from catching Pokémon will be tripled, and incense will last for three hours.

Just like Abra’s Community Day, the length of this event has been extended to encourage folks to play more from home. Niantic has been consistently updating Pokémon Go to be more easily playable from home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
