The Community Day Pokémon for Pokémon Go’s September and October Community Days will be decided by player votes.
Fans will be able to choose between Porygon, Caterpie, Grimer, or Charmander.
While more details have yet to be announced, we can assume that it’ll work similarly to the last voted Community Day. Whichever Pokémon gets the most votes will likely star in September’s Community Day, with the second place Pokémon starring in October Community Days. It’s also likely, based on the past few months’ Community Days, that the featured moves that the Pokémon will learn will be beneficial to PvP.
Out of the four available options, Porygon does not yet have a Shiny form released, which means that this Community Day will add it to the game. Porygon is also the only one that needs a special item, a Sinnoh Stone, to evolve it to its final form. Charmander, however, has a Mega Evolution, a mechanic that’s not in the game yet, but has been teased.
