Pokémon Go’s highly anticipated June Community Day featuring Gible will take place on Sunday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, developer Niantic announced Thursday. Not only will Gible Community Day offer ample opportunities to catch the rare Land Shark Pokémon, Pokémon Go players will have a chance to catch the Dragon/Ground-type in Shiny form.
Players can also snag a Community Day-exclusive move for Garchomp, Gible’s final evolution. Evolving Gabite into Garchomp during the event (or up to two hours afterward) will unlock the attack Earth Power.
Gible will be spawning in the wild on June 6, and players can also encounter the Pokémon in snapshots. Gible Community Day will also offer an exclusive Special Research story, “Just a Nibble,” that will cost $1.
Other bonuses include triple catch experience during Gible Community Day hours, and incense that lasts three hours.
Gible Community Day was announced in early May, putting an end to months (maybe years?) of requests from Pokémon Go players who demand more Gible. Pokémon Go’s Gible Community Day arrives shortly before the mobile game celebrates its fifth anniversary and 2021’s Pokémon Go Fest, which will take place virtually July 17-18.
