Lilligant is the second Noble Pokémon boss you’ll fight against in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The dancing Pokémon will jump around stage, avoiding your attempts to subdue it. Our Pokémon Legends: Arceus guide explains Hisuian Lilligant weaknesses, counters, and tips to dodging its attacks.

Hisuian Lilligant weaknesses and counters

The Lilligant you fight against is a special Hisuian Lilligant. It’s level 30 and it sports a grass- and fighting-type combo. This opens it up to lots of weaknesses. You can use fire-, flying-, poison-, psychic-, ice-, or fairy-type moves to deal double damage to it. In fact, flying- and psychic-type moves will deal quadruple damage to it, so it’s highly recommended that you use those moves.

You can pick up the flying-type Starley and it’s evolutions in the Obsidian Firelands. You can also find psychic-types Abra and Kadabra in the Obsidian Firelands and Ralts in the Crimson Mirelands.

If you don’t have any counters and Lilligant is dancing circles around your Pokémon, you can avoid fighting it altogether and just keep dodging and throwing balms.

Lilligant continuously bounces around, dealing area-of-effect damage as she lands, so keep dodge rolling around until she stops. She also fires off rings from the center and you can dodge through them to avoid damage. You do not take damage while dodge rolling, so use that small period of invincibility to your advantage.

How do I fight a Noble Pokémon?

Each Noble Pokémon fight follows the same mechanic. You need to throw provided balms at the Pokémon to calm it down. While you’re tossing balms, dodge telegraphed attacks. Pay attention to both the Pokémon and the ground around you for signs of incoming attacks.

Periodically, the Noble tires itself out, creating an opening for you to throw in your Pokémon to battle. If you knock it out, it becomes temporarily stunned, and balms soothe it faster. However, you can complete an entire Noble Pokémon encounter without ever battling it, if you would rather just throw balms and dodge.

If the Noble knocks you out, you can restart the battle completely or from a checkpoint.
