One of the earliest Pokémon Legends: Arceus requests, “Big Buizel, Little Buizel” sends you off looking for a big Buizel, which can be hard to find if you’re unlucky. Our Pokémon Legends: Arceus big Buizel guide shows you where to find a big Buizel easily and how to catch it.

Where to find a big Buizel (above 2’8”)

Generally, you can find Buizel in numerous areas in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Specifically they’re in Horseshoe Plains and Windswept Run.

Of course, you can hide and keep chucking Poké Balls at Buizel until you get a big one, but we recommend using an Alpha Buizel to complete this request quickly. Alpha Buizel are gigantic and will fulfill the requirements.

To find an Alpha Buizel, you can run back and forth between Obsidian Fieldlands and Jubilife Village until one appears. Once you spot it, you can stun it with Sticky Globs or Spoiled Apricorns and then use a Heavy Ball to catch it easily. (You can also battle it, weaken it, and then catch it.)

Unfortunately, the spawn rate for random Alpha Pokémon is low and there’s no guaranteed Alpha Buizel spawns, so the answer is to just keep trying and hope that you get lucky.

How to check your Buizel’s size

You can compare your Buizel sizes by talking to the corps member at camps or the lady at the pastures in Jubilife City. Once you select your Buizel, you can check its summary to see its size, that way you don’t have to show them to Dorian one-by-one.
