The adorable mouse family Pokémon, Tandemaus, can be caught pretty early. Its evolution requirement isn’t too complicated, but it does have a funny gimmick.

Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet guide will explain where to find Tandemaus and how to evolve it into Maushold.

Where to find Tandemaus

Tandemaus can be spotted in several areas around Paldea. We found some very easily on the route to the Pokémon League, which you can access through a tunnel west of your academy.

Despite the Pokédex saying that they don’t show up often, we found lots of these little critters.

How to evolve Tandemaus into Maushold

Based on our testing (we evolved three of them), Tandemaus evolves into Maushold at level 25. However, it doesn’t have an evolution animation. At level 25 it simply was just a Maushold in our party.

Really, they just had kids and did not give us a heads up. They moved their whole family in. Kind of rude, but we’ll take it.

Some datamines have noted that there are two versions of Maushold: a version with one child and a version with two children. Allegedly, the version with one child is much rarer. As of writing this, we’re unsure if there are specific requirements to get the three-mouse family or if it’s completely random.
