In The Crown Tundra expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield, an older woman will have a Cosmog named Fwoofy hanging out in her home. If you speak to her in her house, which is opposite the small farm, she claims she will release the creature into the care of a “proper trainer” if she comes across one.

In this guide, we’ll show you the steps you need to take to prove to her that you are the trainer she is looking for. Note: this guide will contain light spoilers for the expansion and will explain part of the process for how to catch Calyrex.

How to catch Cosmog

To add the Cosmog to your party, you have to work through the story by helping out Calyrex.

At a certain point in your quest help the Pokémon, it will ask you to plant a carrot either in the Snowslide Slope or Old Cemetery. After you do, it will someone either version of its steed will appear (it will be either the ghost-type Spectrier or the ice-ype Glastrier depending on where you planted the seed).

Afterwards, the steed will attack Freezington. Head to the village and defeat the horse to send it away (refer to our Pokémon Sword and Shield type chart to figure out which creature to bring to battle). Once it leaves, speak to the woman and she will put the Cosmog into your care.
