With the holidays upon us, Pokémon Sword and Shield developer Game Freak is celebrating in a unique way — handing out extra large Delibirds in the Wild Area’s Max Raid Battles. As of Friday, Dec. 20, Delibirds are more likely to spawn in Max Raid Battles. They’re not exactly rare Pokémon, nor do they have a Gigantamax form, but defeating them will awards extra Ice-type TRs and Exp. Candy “for a limited time.”

Like other Pokémon on the Max Raid Battles schedule in Sword and Shield, you must connect to the internet to see the increased spawns. Delibird is is an ice- and flying-type Pokémon, so it’s weak against Steel, Fire, Electric, and Rock Pokémon.

Outside of Max Raid Battles, you’re likely to find regular Delibirds around the Galar region when it’s snowing.

If Delibird doesn’t interest you, you’re not out of luck. Using the code “PRESENT,” players will be awarded 10 Luxury Balls. The code expires on Jan. 30. To input the code, open the Mystery Gift menu by hitting X and selecting Mystery Gift. Navigate to Get a Mystery Gift, which is where you’ll select Get with Code — that’s when you’ll input “PRESENT.”

While you’re there, you might as well use Ball Guy’s codes to get a bunch of other gifts. After all, Ball Guy is a friend.
