The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield comes with some completely new additions to its equivalent of the Wild Area.

More Pokémon that aren’t in the original game’s Pokédex will be able to be caught in Max Raid Battles, though it’s unknown if we’ll be able to see them in the wild as well.

There’s also going to be a co-op mode, where players can explore further into raid dens, seeking out what’s inside. Some players will be able to find older Legendary Pokémon, like Mewtwo, Kyogre, Groudon, Zekrom and Reshiram. The trailer showed a bulk of Legendary Pokémon, but no Mythical Pokémon, like Mew, Celebi, or Jirachi, have been confirmed.

New Legendary Pokémon will also be added and found in these dens and they appear to be cousins of some of the Legendaries we already know. Two Regi-like Pokémon, that appear to be electric- and dark-type were shown in the trailer, as well as three Pokémon that look based off of Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos, but with potentially different typing. These are likely Galarian forms of the Legendary Pokémon.

The Crown Tundra DLC will launch in Fall 2020. The Expansion Pass, which also includes the Isle of Armor DLC, costs $29.99.
