Rage 2 guide: Cheats and Mangoo the Unborn cheat vendor location

Meet the Wasteland Wizard

How to use cheats and how to find Mangoo the Unborn cheat vendor location in Rage 2 id Software, Avalanche Studios/Bethesda Softworks via Polygon

Rage 2 is already pretty over-the-top in general, but there’s a way to add further absurdity with unlockable cheats that add voiceovers and supercharge your powers.

Using these cheats takes a bit of work. We’re here to help you through the entire process. This guide will tell you how Rage 2 cheats work, where you have to go, who you have to talk to, and list the available cheats.

How to unlock and use Rage 2 cheats

Cheats in Rage 2 don’t work like other games. First, you have to find a wandering vendor named Mangoo the Unborn (more on him below). Then you have to purchase the cheats you want with in-game cash.

To activate the cheats, go into your Settings menu, and then down to Cheats. You can turn each cheat on or off there. If you bought the Deluxe Edition of the game, you’ll have some cheats in the menu even if you haven’t found Mangoo yet.

As you scroll through the list of cheats you have available, certain ones will give you a warning that the cheats that will make it impossible for you to earn any more Trophies or Achievements after you activate the cheats. Voiceovers and the Progress Booster won’t have this warning — it only comes up for cheats that give you a boost to your fighting.

Finding Mangoo the Unborn, the Wasteland Wizard

This is the tricky part. Mangoo the Unborn moves around a lot. And he doesn’t show up on your map.

The location in the images above — far in the north-northeast of The Wilds — is the only place we have found him. If you’re lucky enough to happen upon him, his shop has a distinctive look with its three large, green balloons on top.

Other players have reported online that they’ve found him in a few other places:

  • In the Sekreto Wastelands region near the southern border or near the Mutant Bash TV arena on the west side.
  • In the Torn Plains region, near White Stop in the north-northwest.
  • In the Broken Tract region near Eden Space Center in the southeast or southeast of Gunbarrel near Lost Cause.

We have looked (a lot) for him in these places, but we have yet to see him anywhere else.
