Resident Evil 2 Leon walkthrough 12: Supplies Storage Room solution and Chemical Flamethrower

Resident Evil 2’s sewers have been pretty dangerous so far, but you’re about to walk into a mini-puzzle room that will give you a new advantage.

Supplies Storage Room

What’s inside the Supplies Storage Room is not quite a puzzle, but it might as well be. You’re moving two of those chess-themed plugs between a series of panels to open doors and it can get very confusing. If you’re patient and plan (or are just incredibly lucky), there’s a relatively straightforward solution. Doing it is worth it, though, because you’ll be rewarded with a Chemical Flamethrower.

We’re going to be extra detailed about our directions through here because we had so much trouble the first time.

When you first walk in, turn left, then follow the path around to the right. Grab the Red Herb from the shelves.

Go down the stairs and loop around to your left. Go through the door about halfway down on your right. In that center hallway, turn around and take the Queen Plug from the panel. (This will close the door you just came through.)

Turn left and head to the end of the room. Grab the Blue Herb from the boxes and turn left again. Place the Queen Plug in the panel on the right side.

Walk through the gate that opens and go up the stairs on your right.

At the top, grab the King Plug from the panel, the drop down off of the platform on your left.

Around this time a zombie will show up. You can avoid it, but we’d argue he’s worth a bullet or eight just to not worry about him while you’re solving this room.

Head to the right and go through the already-open Queen Plug door again. Instead of taking the stairs, go straight to the far wall, turn left, and place the King Plug in the panel.

Pick up your Chemical Flamethrower. You can unlock the door and just leave, but the King and Queen Plug are what you need for the U-Area Puzzle, so you’ll need to take those with you.

Head back through the door you entered through and pick up the King Plug as you pass.

Take a right and go to the other end of the room. Grab the Queen Plug there.

Go into the center hallway and place the Queen Plug in the panel on your left. Go through the gate and turn left.

Place the King Plug in the panel. When you go through, loop to your left and to retrieve the the Queen Plug from the center hallway.

Come back to the end, go back through the gate on the left, and pick up the King Plug.

Now you’re back where you started with two Plugs and a shiny Chemical Flamethrower.
