Rocket League 4v4 strategy guide

There are reasons why there's no competitive chaos mode in Rocket League, and there are reasons why 4v4 is called Chaos. There are are just too many cars on the field to pull off any kind of calculated play. Chances are there's someone closer to the ball than you are, and the ball rarely ends up where you think it's going to. Worst of all, it's almost impossible to shine in Chaos.

Chaos mode is all about being at the right place at the right time. It's a fun mode when you have three other friends online, but we'd argue that private 2v2 is a better option that will make you a better player. Since Chaos isn't ranked, it's best to go out there and have fun.

There is some value in 4v4. Since there are seven other people on the field gunning for the ball, the ball is always on the move and often airborne. That makes Chaos a good place to start some aerial practice. It's a bonus that you don't have to worry about losing. Unranked play is carefree.
