Spider-Man: Miles Morales guide: All Underground Cache maps and locations

Find all 35 Underground Caches with our maps

hThe most plentiful — and practical — collectible in Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the Underground Cache. You’ll get introduced to these fairly early in the story, and you’ll collect them for Tech Tokens, which upgrade your gadgets and unlock mods.

To find an Underground Cache, mark its location on your map via the icon. When you get to the area, scan and you’ll get a little compass on the side of your screen. Follow the compass and use the distance meter to tell you how close you are. Some are hidden behind breakable walls or behind pullable objects.

Here’s a list of all the Underground Caches in the game, with maps and descriptions to help you find them.

Financial District Underground Cache locations

The Underground Caches in the Financial District are pretty spread out

There are four Underground Caches in the Financial District and one in a Roxxon Lab.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is up against the wall

Follow the Cache compass to the back of the building, facing the water. The Cache is in the corner inside the little harbor.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is tucked in the corner

Follow the Cache compass to the storage container with the Underground symbol on it. Pull the doors open and follow the path — through the tunnel — until you reach the Cache.

Underground Cache 3

This Cache is on the roof

Go to the building with the curved room and jump into the flat area in the middle. Break the box with the Underground symbol. The Cache is inside, sitting against the air conditioner.

Underground Cache 4

This Cache is behind a dumpster

This Cache is under the stairs on the rooftop. Pull the dumpster out of the way and open the Cache.

Greenwich Underground Cache locations

Cache 3 is actually in in Greenwich, not Chinatown

There are three Underground Caches in Greenwich. There’s another Cache in an Underground Hideout.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is behind the fence

Head to the ground-level and enter the garage passage under the building. Walk up to the fence and break the boxes blocking your way. You’ll find the cache in the fenced-in area.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is in a garage

Go to the ground level and find the gas station. Open the left side of the garage and web up the gears. The Cache is sitting inside.

Underground Cache 3

This Cache is hidden behind a door

Head up to the rooftop on the tall building — not quite to the very top. You’re looking for a chain-link cage on the corner of the building. When you find it, pull the gate off and open the Cache inside.

Chinatown Underground Cache locations

The upper-left Cache is actually part of Greenwich

There are three Caches in Chinatown and one in a Roxxon Lab.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is under a tent

Follow the Cache compass to a white tent part-way up a brick building. Go inside the tent to find this Underground Cache.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is in a car-park

Go to the ground level and look for the multi-layered car garage. Web-zip to the empty third level and you’ll find the Cache.

Underground Cache 3

This Cache is on the roof

Go to the roof of the H-shaped building. Look for the construction scaffolding and break the Underground box open. The Cache is inside.

Midtown Underground Cache locations

There are five Underground Caches in Midtown, but one of them is the first one you pick up as part of the story.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is on the balcony

Jump to the roof and find the balcony facing the Empire State building. The Cache is sitting against the barrier.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is on the roof

Go to the roof of the glass building. There’s a small canyon on the roof that leads to a thin area. The Cache is down there.

Underground Cache 3

This Cache is under a tarp

Jump onto the roof, over the metal fence. The Cache is under a small tarp in the middle of the roof.

Underground Cache 4

This Cache is behind some construction scaffolding

Go to street-level to find this cache. On the side of the building you’ll find some construction scaffolding. Pull down a small platform to open up a way inside the construction zone. Go in and turn left to find the Cache.

Underground Cache 5

You may notice there is not 5 on the map. The first Underground Cache you picked up during the tutorial mission was this one. You can’t miss it!

Hell’s Kitchen Underground Cache locations

There’s one Cache in a Roxxon Lab in Hell’s Kitchen, not listed here

There are four Underground Caches in Hell’s Kitchen, with one of them locked in Roxxon Lab.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is on the water

Swing out onto the pier and to the back of the warehouse — right next to the river. You’ll find a small area with a crane. The Cache is sitting against the crane.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is in a half-built room

There are two ways to get this cache. Jump onto the roof of the building with the crane attached. There’s a small room on the roof. You can break the boxes or pull off some doors to get inside and grab the Cache.

Underground Cache 3

This Cache is next to a door

This Cache is at Fisk Tower. Find the marquee overhang and swing inside. The Cache is sitting against the locked revolving door.

Upper West Side Underground Cache locations

The two Caches here are to the north

There are three Caches in the Upper West Side, and one of them is in an Underground Hideout.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is on the roof

This is another rooftop Cache. Jump onto the rectangular building. The Cache is just sitting on the roof, up against a piece of plywood.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is under a tent

Jump up to the roof of the shorter and smaller building. The Cache is sitting under a small tent.

Central Park Underground Cache locations

The Caches here are both in buildings

There are two Underground Caches in Central Park

Underground Cache 1

Break a wall to get this Cache

This Cache is near the fountain. In the structure next to the fountain, punch the cracked wall and walk inside. The Cache is in this small shelter.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is in a fort

There’s a small fort in Central Park. This Cache is just inside the turret of the fort.

Upper East Side Underground Cache locations

The fifth Cache here is in an Underground Hideout

There are five Underground Caches in the Upper East Side. One of them is in an Underground Hideout.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is on the roof

This Cache is on the roof of the old building, sitting on the flat part of the angled roof.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is under some tarps

Go to the U-shaped building. Go to the courtyard and pull down the platform in the construction area. Go inside to find the Cache.

Underground Cache 3

This Cache is behind some plywood

Go to the giant courtyard with the tiny fountain. Break the plywood wall with the Underground symbol and go inside to find the Cache.

Underground Cache 4

This Cache is behind a parked tank

Find the gas station and open the left side. Defeat the tank when it drives out (just pull the turret off the top). Go inside and open the Cache.

Harlem Underground Cache locations

These Caches are spread out in Harlem

There are three Underground Caches in Harlem.

Underground Cache 1

This Cache is behind some boxes

Find the tower of shipping containers and scan to find some breakable boxes. Break those boxes and you’ll find the Cache inside.

Underground Cache 2

This Cache is in a garage

Find the gas station in the area and open the garage door on the right. Web up the gears and go inside for the cache.

Underground Cache 3

This Cache is behind a door

Head to the construction zone in the circle and scan to find a breakable door. Pull the door off its hinges. Head inside for the Cache.

Roxxon Lab Caches Underground Cache locations

South

Connect the power to get this Cache

Inside this lab, scan and you’ll see the Cache behind a red door. Charge up the generator and connect the generator to the pylon near the door. With power restored, go in and open the Cache.

East

Use the small vent above the door to get this Cache

When you land in the lab, don’t go into the floor vent. Instead, web-zip into the thin vent above the door. Open the Cache inside.

West

Use the big exit in the vent for this Cache

Go inside the lab and go into the second set of vents. Crawl through until you find the thin vent leading into the combat room. Don’t enter it. Turn around and look for the bigger opening in the floor of the vent. Go through this one and you’ll be in a small room. Open the Cache here.

Underground Hideouts Underground Cache locations

Greenwich

Crawl over the metal to get this Cache

Go down into the hole into the base. Pull down the platform in the corner and jump over to the Cache. If you’re having trouble finding the Cache, trying scanning to highlight it.

Upper East Side

Move the dumpster to get this Cache

When you clear out the baddies, break the plywood wall with the Underground symbol. Inside, pull the dumpster away from the wall to reveal the Cache.

Upper West Side

Break down the wall to get this Cache

In the room with the generator, look for the cracked wall. Break it down to find the cache.

There are actually more Underground Cache’s in the game, with some appearing in story missions. You don’t need these Caches to upgrade your stuff, but you should scan around whenever you’re in a story mission to see if you see a big, glowing box through a wall.
