In Spider-Man: Miles Morales, you can get a special Trophy for beating Phin during a flashback. You won’t be able to earn this Trophy until the penultimate mission, “Like Real Scientists.”

In case it’s not obvious, there are major spoilers ahead for the Miles Morales story.

During the Like Real Scientists mission, you’ll need to clear out some enemies and then make your way into the Science Center by turning on some generators. Get through this first section and play until you take control of pre-Spider-Man Miles.

You’ll be in the Science Center with Phin, in the simpler times before the game began. Walk with her into the main exhibit area, before you make your way to the second floor. Around the mars exhibit, you’ll see a giant tower with a few rocket stations around it. This is a little mini-game you can play with Phin, and you’ll get a Trophy if you win.

Walk around the tower until you find the Triangle prompt. Hit it to start the mini-game. You’ll need to jam Square as fast as you can to beat Phin. If you’re having trouble, you can go into the Accessibility settings and turn “Change Button Taps to Holds” to on. All you need to do then is hold Square and you’ll take Phin down. If you lose, you can retry with this setting to guarantee victory.

Once you beat Phin you’ll earn the Competitive Spirit Trophy. If you lose to Phin you can retry without reloading your checkpoint.

And if you’ve already beat this mission, you can go to the Mission menu and hit replay on “Like Real Scientists.” You don’t need to replay the entire campaign to get this Trophy and you can exit the mission as soon as you beat the mini-game.
