One of the most confusing things in the early hours of Spider-Man PS4 feels like it shouldn’t be that hard. And yet we fumbled with our controllers because taking pictures seemed kludgy. So we made this quick guide under the assumption that we won’t be alone and you might need a quick reference for using your camera, too.

Taking a picture in Spider-Man on PS4 involves three steps:

  1. Press up on the D-pad
  2. Hold down L2
  3. Press R1

That’s it. Eventually, it’ll become habit. But if you get confused like we did, just refer to the list above.

How to find Landmarks in Spider-Man

Since we’re talking about pictures, we might as well address you camera’s primary purpose. Early in Spider-Man, you’ll be tasked with finding and photographing Landmarks around Manhattan. We initially thought that this might be guide material. Truth is, there’s nothing to it.

After you visit the Surveillance Towers on top of police stations to reveal the surrounding areas, icons will appear on your map that show you the locations of the Landmarks that you need to photograph. They look like little blue buildings on your map. All you have to do is travel there, find the building and snap a picture.
