In Spider-Man PS4, Spidey takes a lot of damage surprisingly fast. Using Perfect Dodge is probably the single best way to avoid losing health — especially in the early game, where the special move is available as the first node in the Defender skill tree.
There’s just one problem: It’s not super easy to figure out how to pull off a Perfect Dodge. In this guide, we’ll show you the trick.
How to Perfect Dodge in Spider-Man PS4
Here’s the in-game description for Perfect Dodge:
Press [Circle] just as your Spider Sense turns blue to counter enemies with a Web Shot to the face. Generates bonus Focus.
And here’s what it means: Your Spider Sense glows white when you’re about to get hit. That’s easy enough to understand. But the secret to pulling off a Perfect Dodge is waiting for your Spider Sense to glow a second time. It’s brighter and bluer, which is what the in-game description references.
Don’t worry about reading your enemy’s movements. Don’t try to time your response based on a swinging fist. Instead, focus on Spider-Man’s head. Your Spider Sense will tell you that you’re about to get hit. Wait. When your Spider Sense turns blue, hit Circle. That’s it.
You’ll avoid fists, off-screen bullets and all other implements of destruction if you just focus your attention on on Spider-Man’s head and wait for his Spider Sense to turn blue. If you want to see it in action, check out the video above.
