Spider-Man PS4 Bomb Challenges guide

Gold, three stars

Bomb Challenges in Spider-Man PS4 are difficult because they require an amount of traversal precision that the rest of the game just doesn’t. So if you’re like us, they’ll be among the hardest parts of the game to master. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get gold (or three stars, as we like to think of it) on each of them.

Success boils down to three things:

  1. Finding the best path between bombs.
  2. Using grapple points and Point Launches to keep and increase your speed.
  3. Using bombs as grapple points.

In the video above, we explain this using the Financial District Bomb Challenge as the best example, and we follow that step-by-step breakdown with three-star, gold-tier runs of the Greenwich Bomb Challenge, Hell’s Kitchen Bomb Challenge and Midtown Bomb Challenge. The basic skills you need to learn are all on display in Chinatown.

None of these are easy. (That’s why they’re called challenges!) And that means you’ll probably need to run them multiple times, getting the paths and the timing right. There’s room for some error, but not much. And none of the paths that we take are necessarily the only paths that you can take.

Getting the highest challenge tier won’t ever be easy. But at the very least, we believe that our examples will help you overcome the Bomb Challenges quicker and with less frustration.
