In this Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order guide, we’ll show you how and where to find every chest and secret location on Kashyyyk’s map.
You won’t be able to access every area, open every chest, or reach every secret on your first trip to Fallen Order’s planets. Exploration, leveling up, and backtracking with your new skills are part of the design.
Table of contents
We’ve organized our collectibles guides based on the powers and abilities that you need to access chests and secrets. The first section below covers your first visit. Subsequent sections cover return trips, when you can reach once unreachable items.
Kashyyyk first visit
After Zeffo
After Kashyyyk, part 1
After Kashyyyk, part 2
Kashyyyk first visit
When you first reach Kashyyyk, you’ll have Force push. Once you have Force push, you’ll also be able to pick up the scomp link upgrade for BD-1, also on Zeffo. For the chests and secrets below, we’ll focus on those that you can get with these (and the wall run) abilities.
Cargo Pad chests map

There are two chests to find in the Cargo Pad region. You can collect both of them on your first visit.
Chest 1 // BD-1 skin
From the Mantis, turn left and look for a ramp down off of the Cargo Pad. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right, and continue to the corner. Slice the chest with BD, and open it for this BD-1 skin.
Chest 2 // Poncho material
From chest 1, continue away from the Cargo Pad toward the crashed AT-AT. This chest will be near a downed tree on the right side.

There are six chests and two secrets in the Imperial Refinery. You can collect five of the chests and both secrets on your first visit.
Chest 1 // Lightsaber emitter
On your way into the Imperial Refinery, you’ll use Force push to knock down a pipe and create a walkway. You’ll drop into an area with some stormtroopers a little further down the path. Clear the stormtroopers, and then turn around. This locked chest is close to the cliff edge.
Chest 2 // Lightsaber material
Shortly after you enter the Imperial Refinery, you’ll find a room where some flametroopers are battling some flame beetles. Stick to the right wall, and look for a locked door. Have BD slice it, and open the chest inside.
Chest 3 // BD-1 skin
After you open chest 2, look to the left. Use your lightsaber to cut through the wall of wires for another chest. (This one is super easy to miss.)
Chest 4 // Lightsaber material
A bit after chest 2 (and 3), you’ll drop into an area with stormtroopers battling a couple giant spiders. Once all of the enemies are cleared out, you’ll be able to open this chest.
Secret 1 // Force essence
In the same area as chest 4, climb up the ledge along the left side — there’s a stormtrooper shooting down into the area here. Follow that walkway through a narrow passage to find this secret on a ledge over where you can fight the albino wyyyschokk (giant, white spider).
Chest 5 // Poncho material
Just past secret 1, you’ll find this chest. It’s also on the walkway above the area with the stormtroopers and giant spiders.
Secret 2 // Force essence
Toward the end of your first visit to the Imperial Refinery, you’ll free the imprisoned Wookies. Right above where you go into the control room to fight the stormtroopers and security droid, there’s a pipe that leads the opposite direction. Make your way along this pipe and slow the two spinning fans to reach this secret.
Overgrown Pass chest and secret map

There is one chest and one secret in the Overgrown Pass. You can collect them both on your first visit.
Chest 1 // Lightsaber switch
When you first enter the Overgrown Pass, you’ll come to a clearing with a few flame beetles and a slyyyg. Clear them out, and have BD slice the chest for you.
Secret 1 // Life essence
After you work your way through the Overgrown Pass, you’ll head back to the Imperial Refinery. Right where you use Force push to knock down a pipe and create a walkway, this secret is on your left.
After Zeffo // Tomb of Mikthrull
After you complete the Tomb of Mikthrull on Zeffo, you’ll gain the Force pull ability, and pick up the powered zipline upgrade for BD.
Forest Trench secret map
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19373344/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Forest_Trench_secret_map.jpg)
There is one secret to find in Forest Trench.
Secret 1 // Force essence
You'll see this secret much earlier, when you pick up the overcharge upgrade for BD, but you won’t be able to grab it until you have the powered zipline upgrade.
Kyyyalstaad Falls chest map
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19376797/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Dathomir_Kyyyalstaad_Falls_chests_map.jpg)
There are two chests in Kyyyalstaad Falls. You can pick them both up on your first visit.
Chest 1 // Passion and Strength II lightsaber sleeve
On your way down to Kyyyalstaad Falls, you’ll have to swing and slide past a bunch of stormtroopers and platforms. At the end of the last slide, unlock the shortcut on your right. This chest is inside, right next to the elevator that goes back up to the Imperial Refinery.
Chest 2 // Lightsaber switch
Just past chest 1, you’ll face a purge trooper. Outside, turn left to find a wall to run across. Force push open the broken door on the other side for this chest.
Kyyyalstaad Basin chests map
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19376921/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Dathomir_Kyyyalstaad_Basin_chests_map.jpg)
There are four chests in Kyyyalstaad Basin. You can only get three of them at first. The fourth is underwater.
Chest 1 // Lightsaber material
As soon as you splash down in the water of Kyyyalstaad basin, turn left. Swim over to the corner of the basin to find this chest.
Chest 2 // Poncho material
Turn around from the meditation circle, and climb up the vines behind you (back toward the zipline you rode down). Jump up to the next ledge, and then turn left. This locked chest is there.
Chest 3 // Lightsaber sleeve
Over in the same corner as chest 2, drop back into the water. Swim around the rocks to the left to find a small platform with this chest (and a dead Wookie).
After Kashyyyk // Origin Lake
Shortly after you reach the Origin Lake on Kashyyyk, you’ll get the underwater breather. We’ll start with any chests you passed underwater, and continue with all chests and secrets in Origin Lake (and beyond).

:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377456/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Origin_Lake_chests_and_secret_map.jpg)
There are four chests and one secret to collect in Origin Lake. This is also where you pick up the underwater breather, so we’ll include any underwater chests here.
Chest 1 // Shyyyo poncho material
When you reach the meditation circle, turn left. Swim over to the platform with the lung plant, and hop on. Take out the slyyyg, and continue left. Use the lung plant set at an angle to launch across the area to the platform above the meditation circle. Open the chest for the shyyyo poncho material.
Chest 2 // Electrum-plated lightsaber material
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377472/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Origin_Lake_chest_2.jpg)
With the underwater breather, head back to that same platform you swam to for chest 1. Drop into the water, and dive down. Look for large tunnel underwater. This chest is in that tunnel.
Chest 3 // Peace and Justice II lightsaber switch
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377474/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Origin_Lake_chest_3.jpg)
Continue underwater from chest 2 to the left. There’s another tunnel on your right where you’ll find this chest.
Chest 4 // Duralium lightsaber material
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377476/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Origin_Lake_chest_4.jpg)
Just about in the center of Origin Lake, there’s a lung plant on a pedestal all by itself. This is the plant that bounces you up to Mari and Tarfful. Underwater, look in this narrow canyon for the chest.
Secret 1 // Stim canister upgrade
At the far end of Origin Lake, you’ll climb up a vine wall into the Shadowlands. Instead of climbing that wall, turn around, and look for a lung plant. There’s a series of four lung plants to bounce up here, and at the top, you’ll land next to this stim canister upgrade.
Shadowlands chests map
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377530/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Shadowlands_chests_map.jpg)
There are two chests to pick up in the Shadowlands. You can grab them both on your first visit.
Chest 1 // Valor and Wisdom lightsaber sleeve
When you climb up into the Shadowlands, you’ll face off against a handful of stormtroopers. Take them out, and swim across the water to your left to pick up this lightsaber sleeve.
Chest 2 // Peace and Justice lightsaber emitter
A little further along in the Shadowlands, you’ll have to dive under a huge tree branch. As soon as you go underwater, turn left. You’ll see this chest ahead of you.
Deserted Village chest map
There is only one chest to discover in the Deserted Village.
Chest 1 // Recon poncho material
After climbing the vine up to the Deserted Village, you’ll have to do a little bouncing and wall running. You’ll arrive at a circular platform with a couple stormtroopers and a purge trooper. After they’re dealt with, look off the right side of the platform. Drop onto the slide, and jump off the end to reach this chest.
Origin Tree chests map
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377791/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Origin_Tree_chests_map.jpg)

:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377799/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Origin_Tree_chest_1.jpg)
After you slide your way through the Deserted Village, you’ll arrive in the Origin Tree. To get inside, you’ll have to swim through a long tunnel. This chest is just to the right of the tunnel entrance.
Chest 2 // Rover poncho material
Back on land, you’ll have to fight your way past a lot of unfriendly local fauna. Continue forward under the natural bridge. This chest will be on your left.
Gnarled Heights chests map
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19377865/Star_Wars_Jedi_Fallen_Order_Kashyyyk_Gnarled_Heights_chest_map.jpg)
There are three chests in the Gnarled Heights. You can grab them all on your first visit.
Chest 1 // Free Kashyyyk poncho material
Right when you land on the main branch of Gnarled Heights, turn around. Follow the branch on your left up to find this chest.
Chest 2 // Pilot outfit material
Just after chest 1, you’ll need to Force pull a vine to yourself, and then swing across to a huge hanging log. At the top of that log, turn around and look down. Jump down to the branch below you, and head to the left to find this chest.
Chest 3 // Perihelion Mantis paint job
After you mouse-and-the-lion the shyyyo bird, look for some ledges to climb in it’s nest(?) area. This chest is at the top of those ledges.
After Kashyyyk’s Origin Tree
For the remaining chests and secrets, you’ll need the Jedi flip ability (double jump) that you get when you reach the Origin Tree on Kashyyyk.
Imperial Refinery chest map

With the Jedi flip, you can now pick up the final chest in the Imperial Refinery.
Chest 1 // Mantis Bounty Hunter paint job
On the far side of the Imperial Refinery, just before Kyyyalstaad Falls, there’s a water-filled area with a spinning propellor and several platforms. You’ll see this chest earlier, but you won't be able to reach it until you have the Jedi flip.
