Fallen Order guide: Ilum chests and secrets locations map

In this Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order guide, we’ll show you how and where to find every chest and secret location on Ilum’s map.

Since this is a very late game planet, you’ll be able to reach every chest and secret on your first visit here.

Ilum first visit

You’ll only visit this planet after you’ve collected all of the available abilities and necessary upgrades to BD, so you’ll be able to collect all five chests and three secrets on your first visit.

Shattered Lake chest and secret map

There is one secret and one chest in the Shattered Lake. You’ll have to put in a little work before you can collect the chest, though.

Secret 1 // Force essence

From the Landing Pad, head to the right. Use the wall run panels on the left side of the canyon to reach this secret.

Chest 1 // Companero poncho material

You won’t be able to reach this chest until you have repaired what you came here to repair (we’re phrasing it this way to avoid too many spoilers). From the Landing Pad, take the left path. At the far end, there’s a huge wall of ice to climb. At the top, turn right, and slice through the icicle wall to find this chest.

Jedi Temple chest map

There is only one chest to pick up in the Jedi Temple. You won’t be able to reach it until after you solve the ice door puzzle in the first room.

After you solve the puzzle in the main room of the Jedi Temple by moving the crystals to melt the walls of ice, you’ll enter an underwater room. This chest is at the base of one of the pillars on the left side of the room.

Crystal Caves chests and secrets map

There are two chests and two secrets to find in the Crystal Caves.

Secret 1 // Life essence

When you reach the meditation circle on the far side of the Crystal Cave, you’ll only have one direction to head. Follow the path away, and you’ll come to a fork. Take the left fork, use the ropes and wall run panels to reach a climbable ice wall. Climb up and to the right. Use the beams there to reach this secret. From here, you’ll return to where the path forked.

From the fork in the path that led you to secret 1, take the right fork. You’ll have to deal with a pair of probe droids in the next room. This chest is behind a stalagmite ahead of you.

Secret 2 // Life essence

When you’ve completed your task in the Crystal Cave (and after a quick trip to the Imperial Trench), return to the meditation circle. Head to the left again (following the same path as chest 1 above). Slice through the icicle wall, and follow the path on the other side. After a bunch of wall running and sliding, you’ll come to this secret. (This is in the area below the meditation circle.)

You’ll be able to pick up this chest as you’re fighting your way out of the Crystal Cave (after you escape the Imperial Trench). From the meditation circle, head to the right, and cross the shortcut you opened earlier. At the top of the ice wall, face back toward the Imperial Trench. The chest is underwater below and to your right.

From the Crystal Cave, you’ll head into an area called the Imperial Trench. There are a lot of enemies to deal with here, but you’ll eventually come to a meditation circle. Instead of slicing your way back into Crystal Caves, head to the left. Jump to the ice wall, and climb to the left to find this chest (and open a shortcut).
