Where to find raw white opal so you can create a jewel maker

In Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, you’ll need raw white opal to make a jewel maker and refine jewels, but raw white opals can be hard to find.

Based on our time with the game, we were only able to find raw white opal in the first 10-floor mine. The raw white opal we found was in the mineral deposits on the ground, which require the hoe to dig up. Finding the mineral isn’t guaranteed, so you might need to revisit the mine for several days before you find any.

This mineral is easy to overlook, as you likely won’t spend too much time in the first mine. It doesn’t go very far down, and you’ll quickly unlock a deeper, better mine with more resources.

While it may be possible to find the precious gem in later mines, after playing several in-game months, we were never able to find the raw white opal in the second or third mines.

The jewel maker is used to refine any of the raw jewels you find in mines, like emeralds, rubies, and red beryl. These aren’t very useful before getting refined in the machine.
