The final Stranger Things 3 trailer brings light to the otherworldly monsters haunting Hawkins, Indiana — this time, by giving them a voice to declare, “We’re going to end you, we’re going to end your friends, and we’re going to end everyone.”
The first trailer for the new season highlighted the pains of adolescence as the original crew tries to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. While it gave us a healthy dose of the eldritch creatures that Hawkins can’t seem to shake, the final trailer brings light to what the kids are up against this time around.
The final trailer reveals that while Eleven succeeded in closing the gate at the end of Stranger Things 2, the monsters may have never left Hawkins and are now trapped in the human world. Of course, they’re out for blood, and it seems that the goal is to bring about an apocalypse. Furthermore, it looks like one of them has found a host in Billy, Max’s bully of an older brother.
Stranger Things 3 brings the full cast of kids back together, with Millie Bobby Brown returning as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, and Sadie Sink as Max. Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery return as Nancy, Jonathan, and Steve, respectively, and Winona Ryder and David Harbour step back into their roles as Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper. Maya Hawke joins the cast as “alternative girl” Robin, and Dacre Montgomery returns as Billy.
Stranger Things 3 will premiere on Netflix on July 4.
