Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch went down Tuesday with issues that are preventing “some users from going live.” Reports on DownDetector show outages beginning Tuesday morning and continuing to rise from there. The Twitch Status page shows a “partial outage” for video broadcasting.
Just before 10:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Twitch tweeted about the problem: “We are investigating an issue preventing some users from going live. Thank you for your reports.”
The scope of the problem is unclear at this time. We’ve reached out to Twitch for more information.

The popular streaming platform has had a rocky start to 2021, with multiple days of major outages, according to reports. Throughout January, users have reported the site not “loading correctly,” or being entirely down. According to tweets from the Twitch Support Twitter account, a similar problem was investigating on Jan. 27. “Existing streams are not impacted,” it said.
Twitch said on its status update page that it’s “currently working to resolve this issue.”
