We’re getting Borat 2.5

Borat Supplemental Reportings Retrieved From Floor of Stable Containing Editing Machine hits Amazon Prime soon

Petrana Radulovic is an entertainment reporter specializing in animation, fandom culture, theme parks, Disney, and young adult fantasy franchises.

There were 14 years between the original Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (or more simply, Borat) and it’s sequel, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (or more simply, Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm). But if you want more content from television personality Borat Sagdiyev (Sacha Baron Cohen), you won’t have to wait another decade and a half.

Borat Supplemental Reportings Retrieved From Floor of Stable Containing Editing Machine, which includes 63 minutes of extra footage that didn’t make it into Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, will start streaming soon on Amazon Prime Video. It’s not quite a third movie, but it is over an hour of supplemental material.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm premiered on Amazon Prime last fall. The surprise sequel followed Cohen’s character as he navigates the United States with his teenage daughter Tutar (Maria Bakalova). The movie won Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes, with Cohen winning Best Actor for the same category. Bakalova is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
