Hillcrest collectibles

The Last of Us Part 2 Seattle Day 2 – Hillcrest begins with Ellie waking up in the theater. It ends when Ellie returns to the theater with an old friend. There are 10 Artifacts, 5 Trading Cards, 1 Journal Entry, 2 Workbenches, and 1 Safe to find in Hillcrest.

Wachumero Trading Card location

Hillcrest Trading Card 1 of 5

Immediately after arriving at Hillcrest, turn around and jump down into the bombed out, slightly flooded out area. Break the tan pick-up truck’s window to find the Wachumero Trading Card.

Join WLF Note Artifact location

Hillcrest Artifact 1 of 10

Despite the urgent-sounding gunshots that greet your arrival in Hillcrest, you’ve got as much time as you need to poke around in this block of abandoned stores.

Majestic Laundromat, the black-and-white checkered building on your left, has one collectible to offer. Jump in through the smashed front window, and head for the back of the store. Open the door on your right, where you’ll find a flyer — the Join WLF Note Artifact — on the desk.

Workbench location

Hillcrest Workbench 1 of 2

Cross the street to Rosemont, a clothing store. Head to the back of the store. You’ll find a locked door on your right, but duck behind the desk and there’s a hole leading to the basement. There’s a Workbench directly in front of the door, and plenty of parts to pick up, too, if you need to upgrade your weapons.

Boris’ Daughter’s Drawing Artifact location

Hillcrest Artifact 2 of 10

Head left from the Workbench to find a sketch of “The Best Clicker Killer in the Whole QZ!!!”

Sahir the Sorcerer Trading Card location

Hillcrest Trading Card 2 of 5

Climb over the barrier and along an off-brand UPS truck to get to the next area. You’ll see a truck full of Wolves drive through. Don’t worry about them. Jump down and head left to find a slightly flooded, muddy area. Climb out of the pit and enter Caroline Paper Co. Among the cardboard boxes in the back of the shop, you’ll find Sahir the Sorcerer Trading Card.

Need a Plan Note Artifact location

Hillcrest Artifact 3 of 10

On the island in the middle of Caroline Paper Co. there’s a letter from Uli, a Hillcrest native dissatisfied with the Wolves, to Boris. Pick up the Need a Plan Note Artifact, and then head back to the main drag.

‘Fuck the WLF’ Poster Journal Entry location

Hillcrest Journal Entry 1 of 1

Right next to Ruston Coffee you’ll spot a WLF rules poster, which has been defaced with an obscene message and cartoon wolf drawing. Noticing this will prompt Ellie to write a Journal Entry.

Naledi the Youthful Trading Card location

Hillcrest Trading Card 3 of 5

Exit the Life Cycle back room, and you’ll find the Naledi the Youthful Trading Card, immediately to your right, wedged between a bike’s spokes.

Turn in Boris Note Artifact location

Hillcrest Artifact 6 of 10

Emerge from the Life Cycle and head diagonally across the street to the pet store. Make a beeline for the backroom and break the glass (though, be warned, this will likely attract a shambler and runner from next door). In the back room, next to the sink, pick up the Turn in Boris Note Artifact.

Dale’s Combo Artifact location

Hillcrest Artifact 7 of 10

Leave the backroom, and exit the pet store through the hole in the wall. Run diagonally to the back of the bar where you’ll find several notices taped up. One of them is the Dale’s Combo Artifact, which includes the combination 30-82-65 for a safe located in the nearby auto shop.

Note in Hillcrest Tattoo Parlor Artifact location

Hillcrest Artifact 8 of 10

To use the combination, head back across the street and cut through Velvet Tattoo. On the way to the safe, pick up the Note in Hillcrest Tattoo Parlor Artifact in the tattoo shop’s back room.

Safe location

Hillcrest Safe 1 of 1

From Velvet Tattoo’s backdoor, you can see the garage housing the safe. Look for “AUTO” written on gray bricks in big, white letters.

A dumpster is blocking the door. Move it out of the way to access the safe. You may want to craft some Molotov cocktails and reload your guns before heading in — the garage is full of infected. Once you’ve dealt with them, use the code 30-82-65 on the safe to grab some parts and ammo.

Brainstorm Trading Card location

Hillcrest Trading Card 4 of 5

Once you’ve collected your loot, head back to the back room of the bar (through the hole in the wall in the pet store). Exit out the backdoor, and head up the stairs. Dispatch the infected you find at the top, follow the street around the corner, and hop the fence to keep moving toward the black smoke. Drop into the backyard, and look on the far side of the playhouse to find the Brainstorm Trading Card.

Boris’ Confession Artifact location

Hillcrest Artifact 9 of 10

Head into the house. As you enter, the Boris’ Confession Artifact will be on a coffee table to your right.

Reverb Trading Card location

Hillcrest Trading Card 5 of 5

After clearing the house with the Rosemont Flyer Artifact (which involves taking down a powerful infected drops a hunting bow when defeated), head through the backyard and drop down into the next area: an overgrown street that’s packed with WLF and guard dogs. There’s not much to get here, but there are a whole lot of obstacles standing in your way. Clear the Wolves before you focus on this area’s sole collectible.

The Reverb Trading Card is in the third house on the right. Enter through the door facing the street, and take the stairs to the second floor. When you reach the top of the stairs, turn to face the side of the room with three doors. Take the middle one, and you’ll find the card under the bed.

Finding Strings collectibles

The Last of Us Part 2’s Finding Strings begins with Ellie following Tommy through the woods. It ends when Ellie returns to the present. There is 1 Artifact, 1 Trading Card, and 1 Journal Entry to find.

Journal Entry location

Finding Strings Journal Entry 1 of 1

Immediately after the flashback begins, Tommy and Ellie will walk past a scenic overlook with a view of the mountains. Stop here and Ellie can write a brief description of the woods in her journal. This is also an opportunity to page through Ellie’s journal and read about her relationships with Dina, Joel, and her ex-girlfriend Cat at this point in her life.

A bit later, you’ll head out to look for a music store. After you dismount and hop the wall, Joel will offer to boost you over the U-Move van. Climb over it on your own and head down into the flooded area to find the Austringer Trading Card resting on the car’s back passenger side seat.

Tara to Ruby Letter Artifact location

Finding Strings Artifact 1 of 1

Once inside the hotel, Joel will move a vending machine aside opening the next section where there are several rooms. In room 107, you’ll find the Tara to Ruby letter artifact, about a woman who recently joined the community at Jackson, to her skeptical sister, Ruby.

The Seraphites collectibles

The Last of Us Part 2’s The Seraphites begins when Ellie leaves the theater and sets off down Route 5. It ends when Ellie returns to the theater. There are 7 Artifacts, 6 Trading Cards, 3 Journal Entries, 2 safes and 2 Workbenches to find.

Randy Styles Trading Card location

The Seraphites Trading Card 1 of 6

After leaving the theater, you’ll head down the road a bit. When you climb out of the checkpoint, you’ll drop straight into a Quick Mart. Once inside, walk down the aisle on the right until you reach the checkout. From there, turn to face the shelves running perpendicular to the checkout. Here you’ll find the Randy Styles Trading Card depicting Randy Styles, Dr. Uckmann’s onetime partner in crime.

WLF Target List Artifact location

The Seraphites Artifact 1 of 7

Exit the Quick Mart and follow the road around to the right. On the left side of the road, there’s a building with red awnings — this is Kingsgate Brewing Co. Both doors are locked, but you can smash through any of the windows. There are several infected (both clickers and runners) inside. Take them out, and you’ll pick up the WLF Target List Artifact from one of their bodies (we found it on a clicker).

“Feel Her Love” Journal Entry location

The Seraphites Journal Entries 1 of 3

Cross the street to the multi-storied office building with glass awnings and a van out front. At the back of the lobby, you’ll find blood graffiti that reads “Feel Her Love,” accompanied by the Seraphite symbol. Investigate it and Ellie will write a journal entry.

Shift Trading Card location

The Seraphites Trading Card 2 of 6

From the blood graffiti, turn left to enter the elevator shaft. Climb the yellow ladder to reach the second floor. There’s a locked door near the windows, which leads to a few collectibles. We’ll need to find another way in.

Use your fist or melee weapon to break the window closest to the door, and then use a bottle or brick to break the nearest glass awning. Pick up the rope near the elevator then bring it to the window and throw it over the spike at the end of the awning. If you did it correctly, it should hang pretty close to the ground. Jump to the rope then swing to the room next door. Between the duffel bag and sleeping bag on the futon, find a trading card for a neutral hero called Shift.

Last Letter to Husband Artifact location

The Seraphites Artifact 2 of 7

Don’t leave the conference room yet. Instead, search near the end of the futon, in front of the orange backpack, where you’ll find a letter from someone named Paige, who barricaded herself in the conference room to escape the Seraphites, to a person named Simon.

Evacuation Letter Artifact location

The Seraphites Artifact 3 of 7

Head back out on the street and press forward along the street and under the bridge until you see an apartment building on your left. The door is locked but if you turn right from the door and head down the stairs you’ll find a narrow window that you can crawl though while prone. Head up to the lobby, and then up another flight of stairs. The door on your left is locked, but you can break the window and step out on the awning. From there, jump to the awning in front of the room, and then break the glass to enter. Walk to the kitchen table where you’ll find instructions to open the safe: the couple’s wedding date.

Safe location

The Seraphites Safe 1 of 2

From the Safe Combination Letter location, head back to the bedroom. On the back wall, to the right of the bed, find a calendar with three dates on it. The one you want is the couple’s 30th anniversary: 10/08/13. Subtract 30 years to get the combination: 10-08-83.

From the calendar, turn back toward the door and you should spot a safe in the closet. Use the combination 10-08-83 to open it. Inside you’ll find ammo for several guns and supplements.

Exit the room and head across the hall to the other apartment in the building. Head straight to the back, where you’ll find a workbench. But, load your weapons before you use it (and/or lay a trip mine), because using the Workbench will draw the wrath of the inhabitants.

Sunset Journal Entry

The Seraphites Journal Entry 2 of 3

After the apartments, you’ll solve another dumpster puzzle, and then continue climbing up toward the hospital. You’ll climb a series of walls and Ellie will point out your destination. Pause here to take note of the sunset and Ellie will automatically add a Journal Entry.

Arch-Enemy Trading Card location

The Seraphites Trading Card 4 of 6

After Ellie makes her notes, you’ll smash your way into the Seattle Conference Center. Descend the scaffolding, and then drop to the floor.

Behind the scaffolding, there’s a locked door. Head to the side of the scaffolding opposite the door (left if you’re standing in front of the locked door). Look up, and you’ll see big windows within Ellie’s reach. Break one with a bottle or brick, climb in, and open a drawer to claim your prize: the Arch-Enemy Trading Card.

Dead Scar Journal Entry location

The Seraphites Journal Entry 3 of 3

Quite a while later, after a quick trip through an office building and then the river, Ellie will head into a park. After her first fight with the Scars in the woods, follow the road until you come to a crooked lamppost on the left side of the street. At its base you’ll find a dead Scar. Take a second to inspect the corpse and Ellie will write a journal entry reminding herself to stay focused on her mission.

Doppelganger Trading Card location

The Seraphites Trading Card 5 of 6

From the dead scar, duck into the building on the right side of the street and take the stairs up to the second floor. Turn left off the stairs and walk around the corner where you’ll find the trading card for Doppelganger, a neutral shapeshifter of unknown origin, among some kids’ toys.

Dying Husband’s Plea Artifact location

The Seraphites Artifact 5 of 7

Enter apartment 201, and then exit through the back window to reach the fire escape and take it up a floor. Smash a window to head back inside. Check the corpse to find a letter from Simon, who suffered an arrow wound at the hands of the Scars, whose message (and medicine) he hopes makes it to his wife Paige.

Bhat M’Andarr Trading Card location

The Seraphites Trading Card 6 of 6

After a very long stealth-Scar-and-shooting sequence, you’ll be back on the city streets, closer to (but not to yet) the hospital. After you climb a long ladder and drop into a flooded section of road, watch for Weston’s Pharmacy on your left — the path you’re on will lead right past it. Inside, immediately on your left, find the Bhat M’Andarr Trading Card on a knee-height shelf.
