The Last of Us Part 2 guide: Seattle Day 3 collectibles (Ellie)

In Polygon’s The Last of Us Part 2 Seattle Day 3 (Ellie) collectibles guide, we’ll show you the locations of the 9 Artifacts, 6 Trading Cards, 3 Journal Entries, 4 Workbenches and 1 Safe in this chapter.

Seattle Day 3 has three sections (or subchapters): Road to the Aquarium, The Flooded City, and Infiltration, but you won’t see those names during the campaign. You can find and begin playing from these sections in the Chapters section of the main menu. Each subchapter gets a section in our guide, and we’ll explain where and when they begin and end below.

Road to the Aquarium collectibles

The Last of Us Part 2’s Road to the Aquarium begins when Ellie wakes up in the theater. It ends when you board the boat. There are 3 Artifacts, 4 Trading Cards, 1 Journal Entry, and 2 Workbenches to find in Road to the Aquarium.

Esquire Trading Card location

Road to the Aquarium Trading Card 1 of 4

Once you reach the backstage area, head toward the curtain separating backstage from the auditorium. Once you reach the curtain, turn left and walk toward the mannequins, where you’ll find the trading card for Esquire, a prosecutor by day who takes the law into his own hands at night.

Workbench 1 location

Road to the Aquarium Workbench 1 of 2

From the street, enter WPL, then proceed diagonally to the back of the store where you’ll find a break room connected to a hallway. Take the hallway down to the second door on the right, where a fallen shelf is blocking your path. Go prone and crawl under it, then walk to the far end of the room where you’ll find a workbench on your left.

Tormentra Trading Card location

Road to the Aquarium Trading Card 2 of 4

From the workbench location, turn around to find the Tormentra Trading Card, which is about a neutral villain.

Garage Note Artifact location

Road to the Aquarium Artifact 1 of 3

Enter the destroyed parking garage under the “No Entry” sign, dispatch the infected and follow the path around to this ledge. There you’ll find a death note from Jensen, who encountered a once friendly face among the Scars.

Tanager Trading Card location

Enter the bookstore with Jesse, and then drop to the lowest level. At the bottom, crawl through a tunnel in the concrete to find the Tanager trading card.

Plastic Mushrooms Journal Entry location

Road to the Aquarium Journal Entry 1 of 1

On the bottom floor of the bookstore, head to the far right corner where you’ll find plastic mushrooms in the kids’ section. Ellie will write a journal entry about the different meaning mushrooms must have had in a pre-Outbreak Day world.

Bookstore Note Artifact location

On a counter near the plastic mushrooms, find a page from a children’s book with a conversation between a mom and child scrawled on the back.

Textile Note Artifact location

Road to the Aquarium Artifact 3 of 3

After dispatching a pack of Wolves in the street, walk under the blue tarp-covered scaffolding to enter Boba Pals. Head to the back, left corner of the store, then up the stairs or find a letter, from Gray, who has deserted the Wolves to join the Scars, to his friend Jules, posted by the street side windows.

Workbench 2 location

Follow the dirt trail up into the clothing store. Then, walk past this mannequin and down the hallway. Enter the room on the left, the one with big windows and lots of moss, to find a workbench.

Tatuaje Trading Card location

Road to the Aquarium Trading Card 4 of 4

After spotting the boat, follow Jesse to the nearest building then descend into a cramped, wrecked area. Go prone and crawl through the rubble. Ignore the prompt to enter the next room. Instead, keep crawling to find the Tatuaje Trading Card.

The Flooded City collectibles

The Last of Us Part 2 The Flooded City begins when Ellie arrives in the section of the river with the ice cream truck. It ends when Ellie reaches shore outside the aquarium. There are 6 Artifacts, 2 Trading Cards, 1 Journal Entry, 2 Workbenches, and 1 Safe to find in The Flooded City.

Seff-L’Ho’Phad Trading Card location

The Flooded City Trading Card 1 of 2

Pilot the boat through the rapids until you reach the first gate blocking forward progress. Get out of the boat and double back. There’s a room right next to the spot where the rapids break. Go in and walk to the desk at the far right end of the room. Open the right hand drawer to find a trading card for Seff-L’Ho’Phad, a neutral, interdimensional giant squid.

Ferris Wheel Journal Entry location

The Flooded City Journal Entry 1 of 1

Exit the room where you found the Seff-L’Ho’Phad trading card and double back toward the gate. Turn left to find the stairs and take them to the second floor. Approach the window which faces the Ferris wheel to get a new journal entry, revealing some of Ellie’s thoughts as she gets closer to Abby.

Stash Note Artifact location

The Flooded City Artifact 1 of 6

From the Ferris Wheel Journal Entry location, turn left to find a dead man, Randall, and his letter to someone named Beth. The note includes a combination 70-12-64.

Safe location

The Flooded City Safe 1 of 1

With the safe combination in hand, walk to the other end of the room, and roll the box out of the way. Go prone and crawl through until you’re above the fenced-in area to the right of the gate. Drop down and use the code 70-12-64 on the safe to grab some ammo.

Workbench 1 location

The Flooded City Workbench 1 of 2

As you progress through the flooded city, look for a building whose opening is surrounded by blue tarps. It’s on the left side of the river, opposite Seattle Sleep Warehouse. Inside, you’ll find a workbench.

Shambler Note Artifact location

The Flooded City Artifact 2 of 6

After passing through the Seattle Sleep Warehouse area, look out for the flooded Carthy Hotel on your right. In the non-flooded corner, look for a skeleton near a wrecked ship. Next to the corpse, there’s a letter with a drawing of a Shambler warning any Wolves that come across it that this new infected variant is real and awful.

Encampment Note Artifact location

The Flooded City Artifact 4 of 6

From the Scar Prophet’s portrait in the building where you fought the Scars, turn left and back toward the windows. On a light blue pillar with cracked paint, you’ll find a letter from Gray, who the Scars have now renamed Emmett, to Jules.

Arcade Flyer Artifact location

The Flooded City Artifact 5 of 6

When you arrive in W&B Arcade, park your boat near the gate and turn back. On one of the booths on the right, you’ll find a flyer advertising !!Fright Nites!!

Workbench 2 location

Head up the stairs to the second floor. On the opposite wall, next to Moto Flare and air hockey, you’ll find a workbench.

Khazakh Bright Trading Card location

After taking down the Bloater in the W&B Arcade basement, open the rolling window into the Prize Zone. Hop the counter and turn right to find a trading card, for neutral villain Khazakh Bright, under the glass.

Arcade Note Artifact location

The Flooded City Artifact 6 of 6

From the Prize Zone, take the stairs up a floor, and then turn right and walk until you reach PC Cafe, a room with a bunch of computers. Look to your immediate left as you enter to find the last letter from Emmett to Jules, in which he describes encountering the Bloater in the basement.

Infiltration collectibles

The Last of Us Part 2 Infiltration begins when Ellie reaches the shore outside the aquarium. It ends when Abby says, “You wasted it.” There is 1 Journal Entry to find in “Infiltration.”

Owen Moore Firefly Pendant Journal Entry location

Infiltration Journal Entry 1 of 1

Exit the Operating Room through the door by the whiteboard to find a kitchen. Find a duffel bag on the far wall, and search inside to find a Firefly pendant belonging to Owen Moore. This will prompt a journal entry.
