Game of Thrones parody series turns each episode into It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

The Gang Goes to Westeros

Since Game of Thrones premiered six years ago, the show hasn’t suffered any shortage of fan parodies and clever crossovers. The newest miniseries, It’s Always Sunny in Westeros, reformats scenes from different episodes and plays them against the backdrop of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia theme song and title cards.

The series contains 14 episodes in total, and each episode is given its own It’s Always Sunny inspired title. The first episode, for example, is called “Jamie Gets Crippled” and takes place right after Bran’s fall in the first season. Another is called “The Gang Goes to a Wedding” and takes place just before the Red Wedding.

Each episode runs anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute in length and all 14 can be seen in the video above. It doesn’t look like the creators plan to make any more, unfortunately, but the entire series is a pretty good take on the Game of Thrones parody that has become incredibly popular over the years.

Game of Thrones will return for its seventh season next summer. Its eighth and final season will air in 2018.
