Supergirl's coming back for another season — on a different channel

Supergirl's leaving home

Warner Bros. Television has renewed Supergirl, DC Comics confirmed. The superhero drama recently finished its first season on CBS, but its second season will move to The CW instead, the publisher wrote in a blog post.

CBS announced the return of several of its shows back in March, notably leaving out Supergirl. Rumors circulated about whether the show was canceled, or if it would be moved to The CW. Several other DC Comics-based dramas already air on CBS' sister network, including Arrow and The Flash.

Supergirl and The Flash crossed paths earlier this year, in fact. (It helps that the shows share executive producer Greg Berlanti.) Read our recap of that episode, as well as our take on Supergirl's first season as a whole.
