Fox is resuscitating Dr. Frank-N-Furter this fall and the network has finally provided a peek at its revival of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The first trailer shows off Orange is the New Black's Laverne Cox as the aforementioned mad doctor, Reeve Carney as Riff Raff (which seems a missed casting opportunity) and of course, Janet (Victoria Justice) and Brad (Ryan McCartan).
The original film has been playing in cinemas continuously since its original release in 1975, the longest such streak in film history. One could make the case, by extension, that this new, extended Glee dream sequence version is literally the least essential remake in the history of remakes.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show premieres (again) this Halloween.
