The third season of Black Mirror will premiere Oct. 21, Netflix announced during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour.
Six episodes will drop simultaneously on Netflix, the new, exclusive home of the British anthology series. Among those starring in the standalone installments are Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World) and Mackenzie Davis (the upcoming Blade Runner sequel).
Like previous seasons, Black Mirror will continue to focus on the modern, technological horrors of the 21st century. Netflix will tell six more stories following October’s batch at a later date; last fall, the network announced it had picked up the show for 12 episodes.
The British series first premiered in 2011, with a total of six episodes airing on TV between 2011 and 2013. A 90-minute Christmas special followed in 2014 and starred Jon Hamm of Mad Men fame. All previous episodes are available to watch now on Netflix.
