Steven Universe returns later this month for a summer adventure

The summer of Steven commences

Cartoon Network will air new episodes of Steven Universe starting July 18, according to the series' Facebook page. The monthlong event will include more than 10 new episodes over the course of several weeknights.

A two-part premiere kicks off the new set of season three shorts, airing July 18 at 7 p.m. The rest of the episodes will air one per night until Aug. 1, according to a fansite with a copy of Cartoon Network's schedule. For a taste of what's coming up, check out the promo above.

On Twitter, a writer for the show promised that the new set comprises a bulk of season three, which premiered this spring. That "Steven Bomb" event featured five new episodes spread out over the course of one month.

Steven Universe typically airs with huge gaps between new episodes. Cartoon Network spreads out the premieres for the popular cartoon, which began in 2012.
