Superman joins his cousin in new photos from Supergirl's second season

Yesterday, the CW released a 30-second clip of Supergirl taking flight over Metropolis to introduce the second season of the series.

Although the clip didn’t show off any new footage, the network did release a batch of photos from the first and second episodes featuring a medley of new characters including Superman and Lena Luthor. There are also appearances from Lynda Carter, who will play the President of the United States in the show, and Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer.

The network hasn’t said when the first official trailer for Supergirl’s second season will debut, but the premiere is less than a month away so chances are it’ll be pretty soon. Supergirl is the newest show to join the CW’s cast of DC superhero shows, alongside The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

Supergirl’s second season premieres Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
