BoJack Horseman’s fourth season finally has a premiere date. It will debut on Sept. 8.
The announcement was made on Twitter by the show’s official account, which was accompanied with a brief teaser photo of what’s to come. It can be seen below.
[Warning: The following contains spoilers for BoJack Horseman’s third season.]
For those who might not remember, BoJack’s third season ended with BoJack’s friend and former co-star Sarah Lynn (voiced by Kristen Schaal) dying of a drug overdose and BoJack questioning what his life had become. The last scene in particular finds BoJack hitting the open road. During one of the most intense moments of the episode, BoJack closes his eyes while behind the wheel and when he opens his eyes, he hits the brakes, getting out of the car and watching a pack of wild horses run across a deserted area.
The scene hinted at big changes coming for the character, a man who has struggled with depression and substance abuse for more than half of his life. The teaser photo included in the announcement tweet seems to hint that BoJack is out of California and is trying something different. Fans who know the show — and BoJack — know this change probably won’t last, however, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s back in Hollywoo — the show’s version of Hollywood.
BoJack Horseman returns to Netflix on Sept. 8.
