Westworld’s first season 2 trailer drops during Comic-Con

This might be the earliest footage in all of Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con is a place that’s full of surprises, and today, fans of HBO’s Westworld series got a big one.

Even though season two of the critically acclaimed show isn’t expected to hit until 2018, HBO shared a trailer for it during the Westworld panel in Hall H today. And now everybody who wasn’t in the room where it happened can watch that trailer above.

Of particular badass note is the clip of Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) riding free on a horse, shotgun in hand. This is the version of Dolores that Anthony Hopkins’ Robert Ford essentially unleashed during season one, which aired last year. She’s no longer a damsel in distress, and this scene is the perfect footage to supplement that.

Even more impressive is that the cast and crew mentioned during the Hall H panel that they are only a single week into shooting on the new season. All the footage in the above trailer is from those seven days of work.

The next level of puzzles.
