The most important celebrities of our time gathered to sing Weird Al Yankovic’s ‘Eat It’

The video premiered on the Mr. Show Zoomtacular Annual Business Call Event

Now is a time for unity. Now is a time for strength. Now is a time to sing about having some more chicken and having some more pie, and it not mattering matter if it’s boiled or fried.

On Wednesday night, during the Mr. Show Zoomtacular Annual Business Call Event charity livestream, hosts Bob Odenkirk and David Cross debuted a new video meant to pull on the heartstrings. Much like Gal Gadot and her famous friends’ “powerful,” “inspiring,” “moving” “rendition” of “Imagine,” Odenkirk and Cross’ video gathered top-name celebrity talent like Bryan Cranston, Jack Black, Sarah Silverman, Rachel Bloom, Patton Oswalt, and Tony Hale to sing a popular American anthem: “Eat It” by Weird Al Yankovic. In the end, Weird Al himself shows up to take stock of life. “We’re all in this together,” he says. Wow. Yes.

The Mr. Show Zoomtacular Annual Business Call Event was a one-time-only ticketed Zoom event reuniting Cross and Odenkirk with former Mr. Show cast members and writers like Paul F. Tompkins, Scott Aukerman, Jay Johnston, John Ennis, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Brian Posehn, Brett Passel, Tom Kenny, and Jill Talley. While you can’t see the entire show, the “Eat It” video is forever available to stream, and so is the cause it’s promoting: Lift, which raises money to help families break the cycle of poverty.
