Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End ‘Those Who Prove Worthy’ treasures and collectibles locations guide

In this Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End guide, we’ll help you find the six treasures, two journal entries, one journal note, and one optional conversation in Chapter 9 “Those Who Prove Worthy.”

We’ve organized our guides by chapters. To find the chapter name, head to the main menu. When you choose to continue your Story game, you’ll see the chapter number and name. (Unlike the previous games, the chapter name is not part of your save file.) In the same menu, you can make sure you haven’t missed any collectibles in the Chapter Select option.

Chapter 9 follows Nate and Sam through the caverns below Saint Dismas’ Cathedral.

There’s no map in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, so for each of the collectibles below, we used photo mode to zoom out and give you some context surrounding the treasure locations. Use the images to make sure you’re in the right area and the added arrows to help you find your way.

Journal entry 1 (of 2)

As the chapter opens, walk forward to the rightmost hanging skeleton for this journal entry.

From the first room, head out to the right. When you reach the definitely safe bridge, turn left. Follow the path to a small cave and a skeleton with the Lantern Mounted Flintlock.

Shortly after the bridge, you’ll come to a bucket puzzle. Once you’ve solve it (by rotating the big wheels to align the crosses and move the bucket to the top), return to the switch by the door for this journal entry.

When you exit the bucket puzzle room, follow the path to the left. At the top of a small rise, Sam will walk to a ledge. Approach him to trigger this conversation.

After you talk to Sam, backtrack a little. There’s a path that branches from this one (on your right going uphill, or left facing downhill). Head to the edge of the cliff here and look to your left for a grappling point below you. Jump off, and throw your rope. While swinging, turn around, and look for a small cave with a skeleton inside. The Strange Pendant is with the skeleton.

A couple jumps and swings later, you’ll come to a broken bridge that Sam will comment on. Turn around from the bridge, and walk to the cliff ahead of you. Drop off the edge, and climb down to grab the Amatory Box.

After a bunch more climbing, you’ll see a cutscene with Rafe and Nadine in the cathedral (and a mercenary with a righteous mullet). After the cutscene and a little more climbing, you’ll drop into another crypt. Head to the far right corner to find another small room. Duck under the toppled statue to grab the Pewter Box.

Once you get out of the crypt, you’ll do some swinging and drop a crate so you can climb over a wall. At the top of the wall, turn right to reach the broken bridge from earlier. From the doorway next to the bridge, drop off the edge and climb down. The Momento Mori Skull Watch is on a ledge below you.

In the next room, you’ll need to rope across a chasm to a crate on your right. The Scottish Tipstaff is behind a basket to the right of that crate.

Right after you swing out of that room, you’ll crawl through a narrow tunnel. As you descend off the cliffs on the other side, there will be a skeleton leaning against a pillar. You’ll grab the journal note from them.
