Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End ‘Join Me in Paradise’ treasures and collectibles locations guide

In this Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End guide, we’ll help you find the nine treasures, four journal entries, two journal notes, and six optional conversations in Chapter 14 “Join Me in Paradise.”

We’ve organized our guides by chapters. To find the chapter name, head to the main menu. When you choose to continue your Story game, you’ll see the chapter number and name. (Unlike the previous games, the chapter name is not part of your save file.) In the same menu, you can make sure you haven’t missed any collectibles in the Chapter Select option.

Chapter 14 follows Nate and Sam across the lost pirate city of Libertalia.

There’s no map in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, so for each of the collectibles below, we used photo mode to zoom out and give you some context surrounding the treasure locations. Use the images to make sure you’re in the right area and the added arrows to help you find your way.

Right at the start of the chapter, before you even move, turn to the right. There’s a window in the brick wall behind you. Climb through, and climb around to the wagon in the next room to pick up the Carved Horn Bird Sculpture.

When you drop down from the Carved Horn Bird Statue, trigger this conversation with Sam.

In the center of the market square, head into the tavern(?). Climb up to the second floor, and trigger this (long) conversation at the chairs.

Directly across the street from the tavern is the blacksmith (there’s an anvil sign out front). Head into the room on the left. Interact with the cutlass on the workbench, and then follow Sam to trigger this conversation.

Use the blacksmith’s workbench to climb up to the second floor. Head into the hall on the right, and then take the next left. This journal note is on a table on your left when you walk into the next room.

Back down at street level, cross into the stables (there’s a horse sign hanging out front). You’ll get this journal entry when you interact with the horse skeleton inside on the left.

Once you’re done drawing the horse skeleton for journal entry 4, look for Sam to trigger this conversation.

Head back out of the stables, and turn left. There’s a stone stele that will give you this journal entry.

From the pirate rule sign, turn right. Follow the road that passes by the blacksmith, and then head into the building on your left. Stick to the left wall, and head into the room behind the counter. The Mughal Vase is on your right as you go through the door.

Back outside, head down the stairs toward the statue of Captain Avery. There’s some graffiti on the back that will trigger this journal entry.

While discussing the graffiti, look to your left. Sam will wander over to the stocks where you can trigger this conversation and journal entry at the same time.

From the stocks, turn left and head into the prison. Snake your way past the counter and back to the cells. Head all the way down to the last cell, and then duck through the hole in the bars to get back to the middle (closed) cell and the Ancient Stone Pot.

After the prison, you’ll cross the street and wander around a collapsed building. Inside, you’ll find a tunnel to an underground pirate hideout. At the back of the hideout, climb the ladder. Take the right tunnel at the top to find the Painted Copper Bottle.

After the Painted Copper Bottle, you’ll head through another section of Libertalia that’s full of Shoreline goons. After the sneaking and shooting is done, you’ll swing to the crumbling tower on the far side of the town, and then jump into a large collapsed building. As you and Sam drop into the next room, this journal note will be on your right.

From journal note 2, continue into the next room. As you pass through the door, the Mughal Jade Bottle is right above you. Use the exposed beams to climb up and grab it.

[Treasure] Slipjoint Claspknife location

A little swinging and more climbing later, you’ll run into Shoreline again. When the shooting stops, you’ll climb another tall, crumbling tower. At the top, you’ll swing over to another new section of town.

Climb the stairs, and follow the building around to the right. Jump out into the open air, and throw your grappling hook as soon as you see the prompt. Swing around to the right, and then into the bottom floor of the building. The Slipjoint Claspknife is on a precarious crate there.

When you swing back over to Sam, you’ll climb through a window into a big, fancy building. In the next room, you’ll have to swing through a collapsed section. On the other side of the swing, head into the room on the left. The Large Bronze Boar is on the fancy desk to your right.

When you return to Sam, you’ll swing over to another big, fancy building. Hop through the broken window, and slide down the mud on the other side. In the next room, take the stairs on your right. Take them to the right, and then jump across the collapsed section of balcony. The Stout Vase is on the desk.

Leaving the room with the staircase, you’ll duck through a debris-filled tunnel. In the open square on the other end — that’s filled with cannons, barricades, and bodies — Nate will start writing in his journal. When he’s done drawing, Sam will walk forward to examine a body. That’s when you can trigger this conversation.

Continue past the barricades into the square. Look ahead and to the right for a pair of statues. Pass between the statues, and head for the pile of debris near the pillars. The Mughal Serving Vase is on a chair behind that debris.
