Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End ‘New Devon’ treasures and collectibles locations guide

In this Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End guide, we’ll help you find the eight treasures, two journal entries, six journal notes, and five optional conversations in Chapter 18 “New Devon.”

We’ve organized our guides by chapters. To find the chapter name, head to the main menu. When you choose to continue your Story game, you’ll see the chapter number and name. (Unlike the previous games, the chapter name is not part of your save file.) In the same menu, you can make sure you haven’t missed any collectibles in the Chapter Select option.

Chapter 18 follows Nate and Elena through the city of New Devon.

There’s no map in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, so for each of the collectibles below, we used photo mode to zoom out and give you some context surrounding the treasure locations. Use the images to make sure you’re in the right area and the added arrows to help you find your way.

As you approach the doors to New Devon, watch on the left for a sign. Head toward the sign, and Elena will join you, allowing you to trigger this conversation.

From the penitent thief sign and conversation 1, continue left along the city wall. You’ll find the Mughal Stout Vase in the swampy alcove there.

Head toward the main doors in the center of the wall. Wait for Elena to read the inscription above the doors, and then you’ll be able to trigger this conversation.

Climb up the stone pillar in the center of the swampy starting area, and jump over to the gibbet ahead of you (this is how you’ll ultimately get over the wall). Use the gibbets (cages) and gallows (wood beams) to jump around to the right. The Small Mughal Dagger is in the gibbet directly to the right of the pillar.

On the other side of the city wall (and a cutscene), you’ll drop into a flooded area. Swim to the left to climb out. Walk straight to the tree and wall ahead of you. The Mughal Candle Holder will be in an arched alcove on your left.

From that collapsed building, you’ll head into another one. When you reach the bedroom with the four-poster bed and the stabbed skeleton, head to the left side by the couch. This note is on the bed.

After you leave Condent’s house, you’ll have a big shootout with Shoreline. After they’re cleared out, you’ll swim through a cave and spot even more Shoreline mercs. On the ledge where you spot the Shoreline APCs and Nate and Elena talk about how many bad guys Nadine brought, turn left. This journal note is in the stone gazebo(?) with the hanged woman hanging from it.

When you pick up journal note 2, Elena will say, “They were both Founders?” Head toward her when she says this to trigger this conversation. (We had trouble getting this prompt if we moved anywhere else, so make sure you walk straight to her when she asks.)

Through the next house, you’ll head back toward a waterfall looking for something to climb on. When you spot the grapple point on the other side of the river, follow the river’s edge back toward the falls. The Mughal Circular Box is behind the tree.

Once you retrieve the crate and climb out onto the roof of the flooded house, it’ll collapse (obviously), and you and Elena will slide into the water. When you surface, check in with her for this conversation.

Just a little upstream of that conversation, look for the house with a pair of statues out front. Swim toward the house between the statues. The Mughal Headdress is underwater in the right corner.

Inside that house, you’ll climb up to the second floor into a(nother) bedroom. When you exit, turn right, and then go right again. You’ll be in a long room with an arched roof. The Spanish Brass Chalice is behind the couch in the far right corner.

At the opposite end of that same room (closer to where you entered), look for a tall Mughal vase between two windows. Approach it to pick up this journal entry.

Just down the hall from Spanish Brass Chalice and journal entry 1, you’ll come to a turn in the hallway with a fancy desk. This journal note is on the right side of the desk.

From Baldridge’s house, you’ll swim over to Tew’s place (with the cannons out front). Inside, you’ll do some climbing and rearrange some furniture. On the second floor, you’ll make your way into a gruesome dining room. This journal note — the letter Elena reads during the cutscene — is on the dining table near Tew’s and Avery’s end. From there, head toward the middle of the table to pick up the second journal entry.

You’ll exit the dining room, and head into the next room. As soon as you come through the door, turn left. This note is in the fireplace.

When you climb out of Tew’s place, you’ll head up some collapsing stairs. At the top, turn around, pass the opening in the wall, and continue toward the cannons. Follow the wall on the right to a pillar and the Mughal Painted Elephant.

Inside Avery’s house, you’ll climb up to the second floor. In the big, ostentatious room, wait for Elena to come in, and you can trigger this conversation about fast food managers.

After a huge firefight with Shoreline inside Avery’s house, you and Elena will smash through the barricaded doors. Inside, Elena will pick up this note from Avery and read it. Follow her down the hall, and she’ll give it to you when she’s done.

At the end of that hallway, you’ll step into Avery’s study. Head up the spiral stairs on your right, and the Mughal Dinnerware will be on the small table along the balcony.
